Frontend Engineer 100% Salary Flexible Four Days Remote

Description

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (all levels) based in the Central Belt of Scotland to join our development team in delivering scalable and optimised software platforms for our clients and in-house projects. If you enjoy learning new technologies (even just for fun – I know we are crazy that way), and be comfortable working across multiple projects, then this full-time position will offer significant opportunities for personal/professional development.

Requirements

Required/Essential Skills

  • Commercial experience with JavaScript Frontend frameworks (e.g. Vue.js, React)
  • Proficient use of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS (SCSS)
  • Interest in UI/UX, creating a consistent design and responsive user experiences across multiple devices
  • Experience in integrating Single Page Applications with REST backends/services
  • Good understanding of common design patterns and data structures
  • Excel in writing clean and maintainable code, following standards, and guidelines
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (version control, tooling, testing, etc.)

Optional/Beneficial Skills

  • Working knowledge/experience of Vue.js frontend framework
  • Good understanding of cross-browser frontend development
  • Working knowledge of accessibility (e.g. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG)
  • Experience in setting up/using build tools (e.g. webpack, rollup)
  • Experience in setting up/using linting tools (e.g eslint, prettier)
  • Working knowledge/experience in writing automated tests
  • Interest in hybrid mobile development frameworks (e.g. Ionic Framework/Capacitor)
  • Willingness/desire to continuously learn new technologies/techniques
