Job Description
How You Will Make An Impact
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team reporting to our Finance Analytics Manager based in Scottsdale, AZ. The financial analyst’s responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. As a financial analyst, you will also be responsible for providing project teams & internal business partners with financial guidance and assisting with reporting on key strategy results.
To be successful as a financial analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
- Review and analyze financial statements and reports
- Track KPIs and prepare financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes
- Understand key business drivers
- Assist project teams & internal business owners with financial guidance
- Develop financial projections and build financial models
- Perform research and analysis as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, forecasting experience
- Self-starter and ability to take end-to-end ownership of projects
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, comfortable in a fast-paced data-driven business environment with the ability to multitask
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively, achieve commitments and deliver results
- Advanced experience with MS Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
- SQL experience is a plus!
At thredUP, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $85,000 and $100,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Many thredUP employees also have the opportunity to own shares of thredUP stock. thredUP employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing thredUP stock if voluntarily participating in thredUP’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.
