The Role
Purpose of the role
As our Construction engineer, you’ll be responsible for helping construction site teams successfully improve how they deliver on a day to day and week to week basis by adopting our easy to use digital tools.
This will involve forming relationships with site teams and understanding their specific challenges, conducting training sessions, answering questions about the product, and working with them to identify ways they can get even more benefit from Shape.
You’ll be the bridge between the sites and our product developers.
Your Top 3 Responsibilities
- Guide product development: using your insights gathered implementing Shape in the field, you will work closely with the product development team to improve the product.
- Own relationships with sites: you will own relationships with sites and be responsible for their success adopting Shape on projects. You will be their point of contact for questions and issues. You will work with them proactively to ensure their success.
- Grow yourself and others: We are all about learning and helping each other to grow and develop and you should be too!
Your Capabilities
You have worked in the construction industry in a site office role. You have probably used tools such as Excel, Word or perhaps construction specific software to manage your day-to-day. You are a clear communicator and are comfortable working with both people working on the front line and senior management to understand what they need from a product. Other people probably come to you when they need help with using software.
As a Candidate, You Should Have
- Mastery: Understanding of construction management practices. You’ve worked in a project/ construction management style role and have first-hand experience of using software on construction projects.
- Communication: A confident and clear communicator. You are comfortable and can empathise with both the people on the tools and senior project leadership.
- Leadership: A self-starter. Able to work with leaders in the business to agree strategies and goals, and then capable of setting your own agenda to meet them.
- Impact: You’re the sort of person who creates the Excel or Word template for everyone else to use. You help others get better at embracing digital tools.
