Responsibilities:
- Lead the charge in setting and upholding development and architectural standards within our team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and the application of best practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to engineer applications that are readily testable and optimized for diverse network conditions.
- Ensure consumers have access to essential data for well-informed decision-making, with a particular focus on data accessibility and dependability.
- Lead efforts to promote and seamlessly integrate best-practice development methodologies throughout the software development process.
- Spearhead the creation and maintenance of data pipelines to streamline data processing and management efficiently.
- Take the helm in crafting scalable and fortified algorithms, data structures, and software components.
- Preserve and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, systems, and processes to encourage the seamless exchange of knowledge.
- Oversee quality assurance efforts by leading design and code evaluations to ensure the delivery of high-caliber code and to foster knowledge exchange within the team.
- Play a pivotal role in the facilitation and promotion of automated testing to spur swift innovation and fortify the stability of our applications.
- Assume a vital role in mentoring and elevating the skills of team members through the establishment of standards, conduction of code reviews, and the engagement in pair programming.
- Innovate and optimize production applications to maximize efficiency and performance, guaranteeing an exceptional user experience.
- Spearhead the development and continuous maintenance of metrics, analyses, and dashboards to illuminate pivotal decisions and closely monitor system performance.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Node.js for backend development, with the ability to build robust and high-performance server-side applications.
- Experience building and maintaining Data Pipelines.
- GCP / AWS expertise.
- Proficiency in both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Serverless Architecture.
- Microservices and Lambdas using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Expertise in REST API architecture and development.
- Familiarity with Docker architectures and Terraform deployments for efficient and reliable application deployment and management.
