We’re actively seeking a Sr. Data Engineer based in Brazil
To become a valued member of our client’s team, a leading technology company that is at the forefront of designing and coding enterprise-level applications.
This opportunity is 100% remote.
Compensation: 6000 – 8000 USD/Mo.
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in designing and coding enterprise-level applications.
- Proficiency in developing complex enterprise applications using Java and/or NodeJS.
- Familiarity with REST API architecture and development, with expertise in Swagger or Apigee.
- Strong knowledge of Git, including version control, branching, merging/rebasing, and pull requests.
- Solid understanding of MVC and MVVM patterns, architectures, and frameworks.
- A strong emphasis on automation, including Continuous Integration/Deployment, with the ability to write unit and integration tests.
- Experience with NodeJS development and build tooling, especially npm, yarn, mocha, chaijs, and eslint.
- Familiarity with the Java/Kotlin and/or Python languages.
- Adherence to good security practices and experience in writing code that manages customer data.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to shared ownership of code and other deliverables.
- A willingness to work with and learn new technologies.
- Experience in architecting solutions in GCP, particularly using Cloud functions, Composer, Cloud pub/sub, Dataflow, and Stackdriver.
- Familiarity with managed cloud services (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) and their associated offerings.
- Knowledge of real-time data processing.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in GCP Dataflow, particularly utilizing the Kotlin programming language.
- Knowledge of GCP data repositories, including BigQuery, Bigtable, and Datastore.
- Understanding of distributed systems and federated authentication mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Docker and Serverless architectures such as GCP Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, S3, GCP Pubsub, SQS, CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or other similar cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning (especially TensorFlow and XGBoost), deep learning, computer vision, and/or natural language processing.
- Expertise in Maven/Gradle build systems.
- Awareness of GitHub Actions/Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in team development tools, particularly Jira and Github.
- Understanding of BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) design patterns.
- Experience in creating self-repairing, dependable, and responsive systems.
Education
A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math is preferred.
