Who You Are
Our growing B2B software company is looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Specialist to join our fast paced Marketing team. This person will own our email campaigns from creation to execution within our marketing automation platform (Marketo). This position partners closely with our Demand Generation team to drive efficiencies and closely monitor our success. A deep understanding of email and program campaign best practices is absolutely necessary to be successful in this role. The Marketing Operations Specialist will closely monitor email timing, campaign metrics and continuously provide recommendations to optimize reporting metrics and marketing spend.
Requirements
- 4+ years of marketing operations experience and/or B2B marketing preferably with a SaaS company
- 2+ years of experience managing end-to-end Marketo Marketing Automation
- 2+ years of experience hands-on CRM experience, such as Salesforce
- Experience implementing Marketo projects including technical requirements gathering, development, testing and support
- Comfortable working in a diverse, lean and fast moving high-performance environment
- Excellent people skills, especially working to align teams and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across the marketing technology stack and thoroughly QA and implement solutions, working cross-functionally as needed
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively complex and technical ideas or problems to business stakeholders
- Experience with campaign setup, audience segmentation using ‘and/or’ statement clauses, email deployment, HTML editing, delivery monitoring and reporting
- Working understanding of direct marketing best practices, including email best practices and industry standards, CAN-SPAM laws, content creation, list management and targeting, knowledge of dynamic content and campaign automation
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end campaign production and execution, including planning, list segmentation, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization in Marketo & Salesforce.com
- Manage end-to-end Marketo Marketing automation instance and platform integrations
- Establish and maintain marketing operations standards, processes, and best practices
- Influence and implement capabilities including targeting, personalization, audience segmentation, and dynamic, personalized content to deliver the best customer experience
- Manage the lead lifecycle; from warming the lead to sales readiness or recycled status
- Support cross-functional stakeholders with marketing automation tools and capabilities including webinars, field events, web, chat, paid media, paid search, content marketing and demand generation
- Partner with the analytics team to delivery regular reporting and insights for the email channel and evergreen nurture engagement
- Design, implement, and automate dashboards and reports to facilitate ROI reporting and data review/analysis
- Work with cross functional teams to build and optimize attribution models
- Partner closely with Marketing leadership to uncover insights and assist in crafting strategies that optimize our lead generation efforts (volume and conversion) and update your analytical roadmap to maximize impact
- Conduct regular audits of marketing technology stack and make recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create and deliver highly targeted marketing campaigns, emails, retention/reactivation programs, and customer success communications
- Track and measure performance of marketing campaigns. Identify what’s working and what’s not, and they make recommendations for improvement
- Create and optimize marketing workflows including everything from creating email templates to setting up lead nurturing campaigns
- Ensure email messages are properly constructed to adhere to industry best practices, deliverability, mobile rendering, open rates, etc.
- Report on results and provide insights and recommendations to the marketing organization
- Devise new email strategies to improve overall channel performance, including creative optimization, AB Split testing, developing automated and triggered campaigns
- Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign setup, conversion, nurturing, and database management
- Troubleshooting of campaigns, email deliverability, lead flow and lead scoring

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in a business or marketing related field
- You have Marketo Certification
- You have Salesforce experience
- You are based in Utah (Remote candidates may be considered)
- Experience orchestrating ABM initiatives
- Experience with ABM platform, 6sense
